But of course there needs to be a big resounding shout out to my betas Wildcat88 and Coolbreeze, as well as Sharpes_Hussy who provided back-up and a little extra insight when needed. And also to our Big Bang group in general: Kristen999, Everybetty, Titan5 and Obsessed101 for being sounding boards, critical eyes and all around awesome. You all may not know this, but you helped keep me motivated to write what I normally feel a tad uncomfortable writing - the dreaded AU! So a mighty, mighty thank you to you all.

Big Bang 2009.   Anything goes.
Summary
Ten thousand years ago, a great darkness awoke in the Pegasus Galaxy. For almost a hundred years, the people of Atlantis battled the Wraith, until at last they were forced back into their city. There were great victories and great defeats, tragedies both small and large. Many saw the war as unwinnable and focused their efforts on seeking ascension, but some fought until the bitter end, even to the point of defying death itself.

Special thanks to greyias for all those write offs in the middle of the night and timely geek talk. Also applause to D1 for the most incredible cheer leading and feedback!

Note: I do not have a huge science background. I did a ton of research until I understood most things, but I'm sure there are mistakes and they are my own.

I feel like I should write another 89,000 words in order to thank all of the people that not only talked me into this crazy challenge, but who kept pushing and encouraging me until I actually finished. My entire friends list on LJ was awesome, not only putting up with my Big Bang spam/whining, but offering encouragement. Muzzle was very nice to let me call and yell at him for talking me into this, as well as talking me down from the ledge every other week, and a big <3 to Jadesfire and Friendshipper for their support for all of Group 11. I would also like to thank Leesa Perrie, who cheerleaded above and and beyond the call of duty, and helped me keep my sanity and hope throughout this process.

My betas, though, deserve the biggest thanks of all. For Gayle, who put up with the very rough updates, and then read an entire novel for me in a day... I've told you you're awesome, right? We're not even mentioning the phone calls in traffic to try and work out plot bits. And for Kristen, who not only volunteered to beta this in addition to her own Big Bang (and offering very helpful suggestions), but for all of the research help, the tips on motorcycles, and the millions of write-offs... this thing wouldn't have happened without you. Thank you.

Title
The Language of Hard Nouns
Prompt
Big Bang 2008.   After season 4.
Summary
Teyla raised shaking hands to her face and traced the lines of her cheekbones, along smooth skin that was suddenly cooler to the touch, running her fingertips over the two slits in her cheeks which had not been there before. A strange cry forced its way out of her throat, high and inhuman; and that, she thought, with a sudden, dizzying clarity, was appropriate. How could she be human now; what was she anymore?
Pairing

There are not words for how grateful I am to my betas, Trin and Cate, who read through so many drafts of this, fixed my punctuation, and patiently urged me to make this a much better story than it would otherwise have been. Thanks also to Jenn, Aitch, Eliza and Amber for cheerleading and encouragement, which was always most appreciated. This story takes off from 4.20, 'The Last Man', and is an AU for Season 5; the only piece of S5 canon used is the name of Teyla's child. Title is taken from a poem by Margaret Atwood.

We Fought in a War
Prompt
Big Bang 2008.   Forks in the Road: Reunion - Sam isn't the one that gets chosen as leader.
Summary
This is a complete rewrite of season four (and the first two of season five apparently, but seriously, a lot of this was written before that) with the concept that Radek Zelenka was made leader of Atlantis. Some of the changes are subtle, some of them are very drastic, but mostly this is Radek's story and his struggle to balance all the things that make him who is plus his new position as leader.
